How can someone with limited design skills, and slim knowledge of the mechanics of internet marketing - learn how to master it? Are there any (online) courses, programs, or RL courses of action I should take?

Sun, January 22, 2006 - 11:38 AMI teach Internet Marketing... my advice would be to start studying "normal" marketing - there are a lot of resources on line and a lot of free stuff.
Once you had an idea of what Marketing is about, you will find much easier to understand hw Internet Marketing works.
I suggest you arm then with patience and google for "Internet Marketing": you will find let's say 1 hit every 50-100 that gives you valuable suggestions.
But, once again, I recommend you start with buiding a general picture of what marketing is about. Otherways you will collect a bunch of "how to" out of context. You can't fix a car without understanding how cars in general work... -

Re: How can I learn Internet Marketing?
Sun, January 22, 2006 - 12:47 PMSince I posted this query, I have since enrolled in a University to get certified in "Interactive Marketing and E-commerce". It teaches all the foundations of marketing, and basic info about web development. I am taking these courses and also reading all the feeds from
ClickZ, Search Engine Watch, Sitepoint, and especially Marketing Sherpa. This is what is really adds to the basic education I am getting!
